At Silicon Valley International School ( SVIS ), we proudly offer a comprehensive American Curriculum, ensuring our students receive a truly global and balanced education.
Our curriculum is aligned with internationally recognized standards, including:
Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English Language Arts and Mathematics
Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for Science
California State Standards for other subjects taught in English
The Ministry of Education curriculum for Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies
To maintain academic excellence and track student progress, SVIS administers regular American standardized assessments, including the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) tests. These assessments help ensure that our students meet — and often exceed — international benchmarks of achievement.
At SVIS, English is the primary language of instruction, fostering a strong linguistic foundation that prepares students for success in higher education and beyond.
The Primary – Elementary School Program
The Elementary School program at SVIS welcomes students. Our learning environment is warm, inclusive, and designed to nurture both academic growth and social development.
At SVIS, we follow a child-centered approach that recognizes each learner’s unique abilities. Our curriculum is thoughtfully planned to ensure that every child can learn collaboratively in groups as well as individually at their own pace.
From Grade 1 to Grade 5, students continue to strengthen their skills in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, complemented by a well-rounded Physical Education program.
Our Elementary curriculum encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration — helping students build the confidence and capabilities they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
At SVIS , each child’s progress matters deeply. We provide continuous academic and emotional support to help students reach their full potential.
By the end of Grade 5, our learners not only demonstrate strong academic skills but also develop a deep appreciation for their culture and community, a spirit of respect and empathy, and a genuine love for the world around them.
Grades 6 to 8 – Middle School
The Middle School Program at SVIS builds upon the strong academic and personal foundations developed in the Elementary years. During these crucial years, students begin to think more critically, explore subjects in greater depth, and develop the independence and confidence needed for future success.
Our program is designed to meet the individual needs of each learner, encouraging them to take greater ownership of their learning journey while strengthening essential academic skills and personal growth.
The Middle School curriculum is structured around two key components — the Core Program and the Enrichment Program — ensuring a balanced and holistic learning experience.

At SVIS , we are committed to creating a child-centered learning environment that celebrates diversity and nurtures the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and culturally. Our goal is to inspire confident, compassionate, and well-rounded young learners who are ready to take on the challenges of the future.
Grades 9 to 12 – High School
The High School Program at SVIS empowers students to become confident, responsible, and forward-thinking global citizens. During these formative years, students are inspired to make a positive impact — on their community, their nation, and the world.
We aim to shape independent thinkers and future leaders, providing them with rich learning experiences that build both academic excellence and personal growth. Our students are encouraged to explore their passions, think critically, and take initiative as they prepare for life beyond school.
At SVIS , we foster an environment that promotes creativity, self-reliance, and academic success. Upon successful completion of the required coursework, students graduate with an American High School Diploma.
Grades are awarded from A to F, based on students’ performance in class tests, participation, projects, presentations, and end-of-year examinations — ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of progress and achievement.
Each student completes the semester with a GPA, which is calculated to represent numerically a student’s quality of performance. Accumulative grade point average is calculated at the end of each year and helps tertiary providers compare a student’s results with those of other students.
